Today, I add to the millions of blogs already available for reading on the world wide web. Why? Primarily as an outlet for the many questions that have surfaced during my midlife crisis. Most guys end up purchasing a corvette or turning to an expensive hobby such as woodworking (oh, wait...). My crisis hobby will cost much less although it will have way fewer horses under the hood. I have been in the process of strongly questioning my fundamentalist, conservative, legalistic, upbringing for a few years now. This process started as a result of a powerful sermon on social justice a few years back given by the man who signed our marriage license. This blog will be a combination of catharsis, Q&A, and venting. If you arrived here looking for answers to life's many questions, look elsewhere. I will only have some commentary and, many, many questions. I hope to stimulate conversation amongst my liberal, religious, secular, conservative, and moderate friends. I do not promise 100% perfect grammar or punctuation although I do make an effort. I do promise (for those of you who are concerned I have jumped off the deep end) I will never lose sight of the fact that God is always in control and is the source of all truth.
